UPDATE: CATS suspends service for Sunday, plans late start for Monday

CHARLOTTE, NC – Due to hazardous winter weather conditions across the Charlotte region, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) has suspended all transit services for Sunday, Jan. 25, with anticipated service commencing at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. We do anticipate continued detours on Monday for those roads that remain hazardous. Due to the later start, there will also be no Express Bus Service on Monday.

As conditions evolve, CATS staff remains on standby and ready to assist with transit services as required for emergency operations. While revenue service is suspended for today, Blue Line ice cutter trains are still operating to prepare for resumption of service on Monday.

Customers planning to utilize transit on Monday are reminded that bus routes may be detoured or delayed based on road conditions. Customers are encouraged to visit our Inclement Weather Alerts page on RideTransit.org, which will provide real-time bus detours.
