Tasty Tuesday: Health Energy Bites with JWU Chef Austin Scoles

The Rising team brought in Johnson and Wales University Chef Austin Scoles to show everyone a health bar recipe that’s not only tasty, but also great on the go.

Ingredients:

Old Fashion Oats 170 g
Peanut or Almond Butter 250 g
Maple Syrup 75 g
Apple Sauce 70 g
Mashed Banana 100 g
Dried Cherries 90 g
Protein Powder 15 g
Flax Seeds 20 g
Pepitas 60 g

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Method of Preparation:
1. Mix the maple syrup, apple sauce, banana, and peanut butter together
2. Add all dry ingredients
3. Mix until combine
4. Scoop the dough on a parchment lined sheet pan and flatten the dough
5. Bake at 350F for 10-15 min or until lightly golden on the edges
6. Let cool, and enjoy
