MORGANTON, N.C. – A man is dead after a shooting in Morganton on Sunday, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened around 2 p.m. on Brown Mountain Beach Road in Morganton.
Deputies responded to the area and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He received life-saving measures from paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies did not say if they have any suspects in custody.
