CHARLOTTE, NC – The reimagined Club West Brewing is set to open this weekend at the same location as the former Sycamore Brewing.
Sarah Taylor, former co-founder of Sycamore Brewing now known as Club West Brewing, announced she agreed to sell it to Brad Bergman, who has been on the operational team for eight years and most recently served as the Director of Brewery Operations.
It was recently announced that the change in name will also come with a change in leadership for Club West. Bergman will acquire 100% of Club West Brewing, marking what company leadership describes as, “not simply a new chapter, but an entirely new book for the business.”
“Club West is about all the people behind it,” Bergman said. “My job is to support that team and keep building something we are proud of.”
Club West Brewing will open Saturday at 11 a.m. with an expansive beverage catalog including craft beer and draft cocktails. The beer lineup will include Club West IPA, Golden Hour Ale, Evening Ember Amber, Cold Camp Lager, and a Peach Yuzu Cider. Draft cocktails include Club West Spritz, Moscow Mule with prickly pear and sage, Hibiscus Paloma, and Pineapple Cucumber Ranch Water.
The brewery also plans to debut Saturday brunch and a new bourbon and tequila bar, beginning March 21. The bar will offer premium spirits served on the rocks alongside specialty cocktails including a Nitro Carajillo Old Fashioned, Tamarind Whiskey Sour, Kentucky Mule, and a Cadillac Margarita.
“The idea behind Club West is simple,” Bergman said. “We want this to be a place where people come together, have a cold beer, share a smile, and enjoy the company around them.”
Club West is set to employ 84 people and will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight from March 14-20. Regular hours will be from 10 a.m. to midnight daily starting March 21.
Sycamore closed in late December 2025 amid controversy. Taylor has since filed for divorce from her husband Justin Brigham after a Stanly County grand jury indicted him on several charges tied to the alleged sexual assault of a 13 year old girl.
