Silfab Solar enters into new compliance agreement

FORT MILL, S.C. – New developments in the ongoing Silfab Solar dispute.

On Tuesday, York County officials released a detailed response to public concerns following two chemical leaks at the facility. A new compliance agreement with state regulators and the EPA confirms there is no current public health threat, but manufacturing is still stopped.

Now, Silfab is required to install new containment measures and retain a third-party engineer to evaluate safety procedures before chemical operations can restart.
