The warm-up starts today!

Near 70 degrees this afternoon

We’re already on the rebound and the warm-up starts today!

Today highs will climb back into the mid 60s, which will feel much more comfortable compared to the recent chill. Today will be an ideal day if you are looking for sunshine and more seasonable air. By Thursday, temperatures really start to take off, jumping into the upper 70s with plenty of mild, spring-like air settling in.

The real headline is Friday.

We’re looking at a surge into the upper 80s to wrap up the workweek, and that kind of heat could challenge records. The current record high for the day is 85°, set all the way back in 1950, and at this point, it looks very likely that we’ll at least tie it if not break it. It’s going to feel much more like early summer than spring, so get ready for a warm end to the week.

That warmth doesn’t stick around for long, though. A cold front is set to move in late Friday night. The good news is this front looks minamial, with minor accumulation.

Behind it, we’ll cool things back down just in time for the weekend. Highs will settle into the 60s, bringing a refreshing change and much more typical conditions for this time of year. Even better, it looks like we’ll stay dry, setting up a really nice stretch of weather for any outdoor plans.
