CMPD says shopping center shooting victim is a 17-year-old girl

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A police report say the victim shot in a University City shopping center is a 17-year-old girl. A vehicle hit a second person during the ensuing chaos.

It happened at the Leslie Square Shopping Center on Harris Houston Road at University City Boulevard on Monday.

Police have not said anything about a possible suspect.
