Susan Smith, who drowned her children in 1995, is up for parole in SC again this year

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina woman convicted of killing her two small children more than 30 years ago is once again up for parole this year.

According to the State Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services, Susan Smith has a parole hearing scheduled for November 19th.

Smith was last denied parole in 2024.

Smith’s case captured the nation’s attention in 1995 when she drowned her two children in a Union County, South Carolina lake.
