2 men charged in deadly late-night shooting in Alexander County
ALEXANDER CO., N.C. – Two men face charges after a deadly shooting in Alexander County. It happened just after 11 Tuesday night on Fairmont Court near Stony Point. 911 callers say they heard people yelling, followed by several gunshots.
21-year-old Jeremiah Freeland is charged with murder. 19-year-old Jacob Perkins is accused of accessory after the fact.
The sheriff’s office says the victim’s name has not been released, at the family’s request.
