Former pro skater and Charlotte coach sentenced to prison for sex crimes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A former professional skateboarder and coach in Charlotte has been sentenced to 116 years in prison for sex crimes dating back to the 1990s.

A jury convicted 56-year-old Wayne “Ray” Goff of more than a dozen charges including statutory sex offense and taking indecent liberties with a child.

Police arrested him in March of 2022, then again in May of that year, after more people came forward.
