Cement truck flips over on I-85 off-ramp after driver over-corrects

GASTON CO., N.C. – An overturned truck carrying quick-dry cement caused trouble for drivers on I-85 in Gaston County Monday.

It took several hours for crews to re-open the northbound off-ramp at exit 17, after the truck turned over just before 11 AM.

Troopers say it happened after the driver tried to exit the highway from the center lane and over corrected. We’re told the truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
