Police searching for shooter who targeted Matthews tow company

Police are looking for the suspect accused of shooting at the building of a towing company in Matthews.

It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday at the Williams Wrecker Service off Industrial Drive near Monroe Road. Officers responded to the area and found shell casings in the road.

Police said an unknown suspect fired multiple shots from the street toward the Williams Wrecker Service office building. The suspect fled in what appears to be a white car.

No injuries were reported.
