Monroe Police arrest man for impersonating an officer and using blue lights on his truck

MONROE, N.C. – Monroe Police have arrested a man accused of posing as law enforcement.

On Thursday, 911 callers reported a man driving recklessly while running blue lights from his truck. An officer quickly located 58-year-old Sean Alexander and pulled him over. They say Alexander tried to unplug the blue lights as officers investigated.

Alexander was arrested and charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer, altering evidence and a window tint violation. He’s now been released.
