CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A foundation in California has donated $2 million to boost heart and cancer research at Atrium Health.
The money from the William, Jeff and Jennifer Gross Family Foundation will go to Atrium Health Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute & Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute.
Since 2019, the foundation has given Atrium Health a total of $10 million to support clinical research.
The gift will help several things including:
- Expand the analytics team to include data scientists, quality engineers and clinical informatics specialists
- Integrate data systems across Advocate Health to improve visibility into performance and care delivery
- Accelerate innovation cycles to identify opportunities and measure impact
- Strengthen analytics to better identify and address disparities in care
