Arrest made in deadly north Charlotte pool party shooting
A teenager has been charged in connection with a deadly pool party in north Charlotte.
That pool party happened on Hucks Road back in March.Β
Now, CMPDβs Violent Criminal Apprehension Team has captured 19-year-old Kmari Knotts. Heβs charged with first-degree murder and four counts of intent to kill or inflict serious injury.
Witnesses described chaos, screaming, and panic after gunfire erupted at the overcrowded party on March 22.
Richard Thomas, 20, was shot and killed. Two others were also hurt.
Weβre told the pool was rented on an app called Swimply that lets people pay to use pools.
