CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Forget emotional support animals– what about emotional support robots? Southwest Airlines says it’s not happening. The airline has officially banned human-like and animal-like robots from both the cabin and checked baggage after a pair of bizarre incidents involving humanoid robots caused delays. Southwest says the concern is safety– specifically the lithium-ion batteries powering the machines.
