5 killed, 44 hurt in crash of charter bus that was headed to Charlotte from New York City

STAFFORD CO., VA – At least five people are dead after police say a charter bus failed to slow down in a work zone and hit six cars that had slowed down. We have learned a 7-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl are among the victims.

That deadly crash happened just after 2:30 Friday morning on I-95 southbound in Stafford County, Virginia. According to Virginia State Police, that bus was traveling from New York City to Charlotte. We are told charges in this case are pending.
