Heat Advisories in effect Thursday for Charlotte and many surrounding areas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WCCB) — Heat Advisories are in effect from 12 PM until 8 PM Thursday with heat indices up to 106° expected.
This advisory includes Iredell, Catawba, Rowan, Lincoln, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Union counties.
The National Weather Service urges you to drink plenty of water, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave children and pets in unattended vehicles. The inside of a car will reach deadly temperatures in just minutes in this heat. Double and triple check your back seats.
