Still hot and humid Tuesday with a few storms
Strong to severe storms overnight Wednesday to Thursday morning
By Wednesday, our weather pattern becomes more active again as another cold front approaches the Carolinas. That front will bring back scattered showers and thunderstorms, and we’ll be watching the timing closely because it will determine whether any stronger storms can develop. Temperatures will still reach the lower 90s ahead of the front, so it’ll remain warm despite the increasing cloud cover. This is looking more like an overnight event into Thursday morning with a line of storms impacting the region.
This cold front will simply be enough to shave a few degrees off our temperatures. By late week, highs settle back into the middle 80s with humidity dropping just a bit. You’ll also notice more clouds around, and we’ll have several days where you’ll want to keep the umbrella nearby as scattered showers and storms remain in the forecast.
