Quiet evening with building heat

Tonight will stay warm, with temperatures in the lower 70s. It’ll still feel a little sticky, but overall, we’re looking at a fairly quiet night across the region.

Thursday, the heat makes another appearance. We’ll be back into the 90s, and you’ll notice the humidity becoming more noticeable as we head through the day. The great news is we stay under wall to wall sunshine.

By Friday, it gets even more humid. That’s especially important if you’re heading out to high school football, because it could still feel like the mid-90s around kickoff. We’ll also have a better chance for a few showers and thunderstorms by the evening, but they won’t be widespread.

Saturday is shaping up to be the more active day for rain, with the best chance for showers and storms coming during the afternoon. This will be our best day for storms, but you will have the first half of your day dry before rain moves in.

The Panthers’ home opener, the forecast is trending in a better direction. Most of the game will stay dry, but I won’t completely rule out a stray shower. It’ll be warm and muggy around kickoff, with temperatures near 90 degrees.
