CMS Board will present its “position” on whether Stephanie Sneed should remain chair at 9/22 meeting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools board has moved from one problem to the next. Now, the board has decided that a change in leadership is necessary. This comes just weeks after the board concluded an approximately $380,000, months-long investigation into CMS Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill, only to return her to her role.

Board member Cynthia Stone tells WCCB that they are now prepared to engage in “difficult conversations” with Stephanie Sneed about her role as chair.

Stone says the board will present its “position” at the September 22 meeting, and make no further comment until then.
