Beautiful Fall Weather Continues This Week, With Rain Chances This Weeken

More sunshine and 70s this week

Tonight: Clear Skies and Another Chilly Night

As we head into tonight we’re looking at another quiet night across the region. Skies will remain mostly clear, allowing temperatures to drop pretty quickly once the sun goes down. If you’re heading out for dinner or taking an evening walk, you’ll definitely want to grab a jacket.

Overnight temperatures will settle into the 40s for much of the area.

Tuesday: Another Fantastic Fall Day

Tuesday is shaping up to be another winner. After a chilly start, temperatures will warm up nicely as sunshine takes over. Afternoon highs will climb into the middle 70s, which is right around where we should be for this time of year.

Just keep in mind that once the sun sets, temperatures will begin dropping again, so those jackets will come in handy by Tuesday evening.

Wednesday Through Friday: More of the Same!

There really isn’t much to complain about when it comes to the forecast for the middle and end of the workweek.

High pressure will continue to influence our weather, keeping skies mostly sunny and rain chances practically nonexistent. Afternoon temperatures will generally stay in the 70s, while overnight lows dip back into the 40s.

The Weekend: Staying Dry for Now, But Changes May Be Coming

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday appears to offer another opportunity to get outside and enjoy the fall weather. The dry pattern that has dominated the Carolinas will likely stick around for at least the first half of the weekend. Halloween Trick or Treat will be a treat staying nice and dry  for the kids.

However, by Sunday, we may finally see a little change in our weather pattern. Remember we’ll FALL BACK overnight and welcome back to 5:30 sunsets.

A few showers could make their way into the region as our next weather system approaches. Rain chances are still fairly limited, and we’ll need to watch how this system develops over the next several days. Stay tuned!
