Finishing up October with above average temperatures
Cloudy weekend with limited rain
We’re wrapping up October with another big temperature swing across the Carolinas, and Mother Nature is giving us one more taste of summer!
Tonight, we’ll enjoy a quiet evening around Charlotte with passing clouds and temperatures gradually slipping into the 50s. Nothing too chilly, but you’ll still want a light jacket if you’re heading out late.
Friday is where things get interesting! We’re talking about a pretty impressive warm-up, with afternoon highs climbing into the lower 80s. That’s well above where we should be for the final days of October!
The warmth won’t last long, though. As we head into Halloween, we’ll see a little more cloud cover and temperatures settling back into the 70s. For all those little ghosts and goblins, mother nature is cooperating. Evening temps should slip into the 60s, making for some pretty comfortable conditions while collecting candy.
Sunday rain chances remain minimal! Most of us won’t see a drop of rain, but the cloud cover will be in place. This storm system looks to fall apart with the greatest chance of rain aiming towards our western communities. Plans are still a go for Sunday!
The bigger story continues to be our stubborn stretch without meaningful moisture. Unfortunately, there’s very little indication of that changing as we head into the beginning of November. Afternoon highs should remain fairly comfortable, generally in the 70s, with cooler mornings in the 40s and 50s.
