CHARLOTTE, NC — No arrests Wednesday night in an East Charlotte shooting. A bullet hit a person on Albemarle Road near Lawyer’s Road. The shooting happened just before 4pm Wednesday afternoon, with a lot of people around. CMPD has not released any details about what happened. One resident told our crew she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
“I’m very nervous right now,” said East Charlotte resident Takella Manning. ‘My heart is beating so fast right now. I ain’t never seen that many police there in my life.”
Manning has lived in Charlotte for four years. She says she won’t let her teenage son hang around outside.
