CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson gets his geek on when he hangs with some really smart kids with the STEM NC First Robotics program. He was at UTC Aerospace Systems where these kids showed Wilson how the science and technology they have been studying prepared them to create and build some fun and educational robots. They had a great time with their version of robot basketball.
The NC First Robotics program brings together students to study innovation technology through the use of robotics. The program teaches students how to work smarter through science and technology. Students talked with Wilson about the program and how studying science and technology has become an important part of their education and their future. The program is always in need of mentors and volunteers.
UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world’s largest supplier of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products as well as a major supplier to international space programs. UTC Aerospace Systems is an active member in the community, not only working with NC First Robotics program, but organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project and the USO of North Carolina.
