CHARLOTTE, NC-Β A program based out of Charlotte is helping feed children in need across the globe.Β
Executive Director of “The Lunch Project”Β Rebecca Wofford stopped by the Rising studio with more information.Β
She created the project in after visiting an elementary school in Tanzania when she noticed the children weren’t being fed enough.Β
In 2011 she started the program which provided lunch to kids once a week but now it’s grown to five times a week.Β
In the U.S. “The Lunch Project” allows youth to learn about giving, fundraising and needs in other countries.Β
