U.S. Doctor And Missionary Infected With Ebola Will Remain In Liberia Today

BOONE, N.C. —  Dr. Kent Brantly and SIM missionary Nancy Writebol who contracted the Ebola virus while working in Liberia, will remain in West Africa today.

Medical evacuations are underway and the two are expected to be back in the U.S. early next week.

Samaritan’s Purse says Brantly and Writebol remain in serious condition. Nonessential Samaritan’s Purse and SIM staff have started the evacuation process from Liberia.

The 60 workers are described as ‘healthy’ and are expected to be back in the U.S. by this weekend.
