CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Save a little cash and go green one last time this weekend. North Carolina’s final Energy Star tax free weekend kicks off today.
Discounted appliances must have an Energy Star logo and meet energy guidelines set by the EPA. The state lost an estimated $1.6 million in tax revenue during the appliance tax holiday last year. The General Assembly made tax changes that ended the program and the Back-to-School tax free weekend.
