Sixth arrest made in homicide of four-year-old, Caleb Flax

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A sixth arrest has been made in connection to the death of four-year-old Caleb Flax.
CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team have located and arrested 18-year-old Dominic Springs. An interview was conducted with Springs and he was then transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Springs has been charged with murder, attempted murder, four counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and conspiracy to commit a felony.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Four juveniles along with Terrance Jackson have been arrested in connection with homicide of 4-year-old, Caleb Flax and injury of an adult.
Ian Garland, 17, has been charged with murder, attempted first degree murder, felony conspiracy, two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied dwelling or moving vehicle and two counts of discharging a weapon at occupied property resulting in serious injury.
Ar’Montae Johnson, 16, has been charged with murder, attempted first degree murder, felony conspiracy and possession of stolen goods or property.
Antonio Ladson Jr., 17, has been charged with murder, attempted first degree murder and four counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property.
Jaylen Smith–Barber, 16, has been charged with murder, attempted first degree murder, felony conspiracy and four counts of discharging a weapon into occupied dwelling or moving vehicle.
This makes five arrests that have been made since the shooting incident occurred. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department will hold a press conference about the arrests made on Friday, October 2nd at 12:30pm.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A suspect has been charged in connection with the drive-by shooting that killed four-year-old, Caleb Flax.
According to court documents, two suspect vehicles with seven suspects arrived at the scene and turned off their headlights. Each suspect brandished a firearm and collectively fired at least 84 times into four separate occupied residences and three unoccupied parked vehicles.
Terrance Jackson, 22 has been charged was accessory after the fact and is being held under $2 million bond.
