CHARLOTTE,NC–Students in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools scored lower on state tests but still outperformed the state average.
CMS dropped 30 points in last year’s end of grade and end of course assessments.
It was the first year for more rigorous exams that test for national common core standards.
CMS Superintendent, Dr. Heath Morrison, “I’m not going to say we feel good but we can certainly take as a way to build and move forward and make those improvements that we know that we need to,” says Morrison.
Parents should get their child’s individual test scores by December 7th.
