Olympic Gold Medalists Ready for Arena Pro Swim Series at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC:Β Gold medalistsΒ Nathan AdrianΒ (Bremerton, Wash.),Β Natalie CoughlinΒ (Vallejo, Calif.),Ryan LochteΒ (Daytona Beach, Fla.) andΒ Michael PhelpsΒ (Baltimore, Md.) are among the more than 50 members of the USA Swimming National Team β and nearly 20 Olympic medalists β ready for this weekends Arena Pro Swim Series at Charlotte.

The four-day meet serves as the fifth stop of the 2014-15 Arena Pro Swim Series β formerly known as the Arena Grand Prix Series β and will take place at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.Β
The meet opens with a timed-final distance session at 6 p.m. EDT on Thursday, May 14. Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17, prelims will begin at 9 a.m. EDT, followed by finals at 6 p.m. EDT.Β
Additional Olympic gold medalists excepted to swim in Charlotte includeΒ Tyler ClaryΒ (Riverside, Calif.),Β Anthony Ervin(Valencia, Calif.),Β Jessica HardyΒ (Long Beach, Calif.),Β Cullen JonesΒ (Irvington, N.J.) andΒ Allison SchmittΒ (Canton, Mich.), as well as current Arena Pro Swim Series leaders and Olympic medalistsΒ Elizabeth BeiselΒ (Saunderstown, R.I.) andConor DwyerΒ (Winnetka, Ill.).Β Β
On the local front, meet host SwimMAC Carolina is expected to enter 50 swimmers in the meet, including Clary, Jones and Lochte.Β

Universal Sports NetworkΒ will air exclusive live television coverage of the meet Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 at 6 p.m. EDT with play-by-play announcerΒ Craig HummerΒ and analystΒ Rowdy GainesΒ calling the action from Charlotte.
