HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Joe Gibbs Racing announced Tuesday that drivers Carl Edwards and Daniel Suarez will compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series full time in 2015.
This season Edwards is eighth in the NASCAR Spring Cup Series point standing with two wins, five-top-five and nine-top-10.
Suarez made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut with Joe Gibbs Racing earlier this month at Richmond International Speedway, finishing in 19th place. He is currently competing for Escuderia TELMEX in the NASCAR Mexico Series which he leads.
ARRIS Group, Inc. will sponsor Edwards in the No. 19 Toyota Camry for 17 races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. ARRIS will also support Suarez in a multi-year program starting with the 2015 NASCAR Nationwide Series.
“This is one of the biggest days in Joe Gibbs Racing’s history,” Gibbs said after announcing the launching of JGR’s fourth team.
