LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Detectives are investigating after two people broke into different businesses and stole cigarettes around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The pair broke into Tobacco and Beer Outlet at 3598 N NC 16 Highway and Denver Smokes at 120 S NC 16 Highway by throwing a cinder block and rock through the front glass doors.
The owner looked at the surveillance video and saw two people wearing masks as they started loading items into boxes.
They fled the scene in a dark SUV.
It appears cigarettes were the only things taken.
