Angelo Smith Finds Out In October If Prosecutors Will Seek Death Penalty

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Angelo Grayson Smith’s case has been continued to October 16 where he will find out whether or not prosecutors will seek the death penalty if Smith is convicted of murdering Bianca Tanner.

Smith is accused of killing his then girlfriend and dumping her body in southwest Charlotte.

Smith was originally scheduled to appear 9 a.m. Thursday at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse.

He is charged with first degree murder. Smith reported Tanner missing June 8.
