Β CHARLOTTE, NC — Commissioners are talking about a resolution asking the state to cancel the contract to add toll lanes on I-77.

Construction on the lanes from Charlotte to Mooresville is scheduled to start this summer. Β 

There is growing backlash to part of the project’s contract that would add a penalty for building general purpose lanes over the next 50 years.
