HICKORY, N.C. – Police say an investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in Hickory. Officers were called to 3rd Avenue southeast late Sunday night in reference to a shooting.
Once officers arrived at the Sunny Valley Apartments around 10:45 pm they reportedly found 23-year-old Ontario Metts suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release. Metts was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police currently need help locating any suspects who may have been involved in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551.
