Tuesday Cold Front Will Bring Scattered Showers
Isolated strong storms are possible Tuesday
Discussion:
A cold front will inch toward the Carolinas bringing higher humidity along with warm and breezy conditions ahead of it. Showers and storms associated with the cold front will move through Tuesday afternoon. The threat for severe storms is low, but not zero. There is a Marginal Risk on Tuesday which is a level 1 of 5. An area of high pressure will build in behind the cold front bringing a nice remainder of the week with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s.
Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly clear and warm. Overnight lows in the low 60s with wind out of the southwest.
Tuesday: Clouds increase through the first half of the day. Showers will begin in the mountains and foothills by late morning then move eastward into the Piedmont through the afternoon. Damaging wind is our main threat in isolated strong storms with a low potential for small hail. Our overall severe weather threat is low, but not zero.
Wednesday: Sunny and breezy with high temperatures close to average. Highs top out in the low to mid 70s. Winds out of the N/NW 10-20 mph G. 25.
Thursday: Sunny skies with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s.

Have a wonderful week!
