Cassiday has lived in Charlotte since May 2012, and absolutely loves it here. She moved to the area for a job with KISS 95.1, and you can hear her weekday mornings as the female voice on The Drex and Maney Morning Show. See photos of Cassiday Proctor She is the voice and personality behind the hourly pop culture news, “The Dirties on the Thirties”, and loves keeping up with the latest gossip. This has made her quite the “pop culture queen”, and everyday KISS listeners try to beat her in “Can’t Beat Cassiday”, a battle of pop culture wits. She has played almost 200 Charlotteans and only has lost 3 times. Before living in Charlotte, Cassiday was a radio and TV personality in Austin, TX. She got her start on The Bridget and Carey Show, and then honed her early morning wake up time with The JB and Sandy Show, Austin’s longest running and most popular morning radio show. She was well known on that show for never turning down a dare, and even let a Chilean Red Tarantula walk on her face live on the show! This radio show was also simulcast on KEYE, Austin’s CBS TV affiliate for 2 years. Cassiday was born and raised in Kansas City, and went to college for theater. She misses performing on stage, but enjoys the wider audience of TV and radio. However, she does a karaoke night every now and again to fulfill her performing bug! She has been with her fiancé, Jerry for almost five years, and they are getting married in October 2013 here in Charlotte. She has a kitten named Asher, and really wants a dog (or three)! When not burning the candle at both ends, Cassiday loves to watch sports (especially KU Basketball), dine at new restaurants, and check out the local craft beer scene. Cassiday lives by the motto “Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History” (she even has it tattooed on her back), so expect to see her “spark plug” side on The Edge! She loves being the life of the party, and is so happy to be a part of the WCCB family.
