SALISBURY, NC– A Salisbury woman has been arrested after she reportedly duct taped her dog’s mouth shut and posted photos to Facebook.
After a DSS referral, authorities say, Kimberly Ann Howell, admitted to investigators that she thought it would be funny to duct tape her dogs mouth shut because it barked too much.
Howell also admitted to taking pictures of the dog with tape around her mouth then posting it to Facebook with a caption that read “hah hah.”
Investigators say Howell immediately started to receive harassing comments on Facebook so she removed the photos. Β Howell claims she only left the tape on the animal’s mouth long enough to take the pictures.
Howell was arrested and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.
