Veterans March to Raise Awareness About PTSD
Β
CHARLOTTE, NC — As we salute our veterans, one group doesn’t want people to forget the challenges they face when returning home.
Three members of the Charlotte Veterans Alliance marched 22 miles to raise awareness about post traumatic stress disorder.Β They say they want more help to end the suffering.
“Because men and women are going over there and they’re fighting the battle, and they’re coming back here and they’re fighting their own battles within, and they’re not getting any help. And it’s something that’s been overlooked in this country,” says Logan Moore of the Veterans Alliance.
The march took nearly seven hours and went from the Cornelius Veterans Memorial to Charlotte Veterans Park.
