MOUNT HOLLY, NC — Mount Holly police are searching for a man that robbed a Citgo at gunpoint this morning and possibly another location in Gastonia.
Police say the man entered the Times Turnaround Citgo at 200 Beatty Drive around 7:45 this morning, pulled a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene.
The man is described as being a black male wearing an orange shirt with a blue and white shirt wrapped around his head. Police say a second black male was driving the getaway vehicle. That vehicle is described as a black four door vehicle, possibly a Dodge, which was last seen heading south on I-85.
Investigators say it is possible this robbery may be connected to an earlier robbery at a Kangaroo on East Franklin Boulevard earlier this morning.
