Family, Friends Remember Victim 1 Year After Murder

CHARLOTTE, NC — Friends and family held a candlelight vigil Thursday on the one year anniversary of another murder in east Charlotte.

Darrell Hames died following a double shooting on Shamrock Drive. Two men are charged with the crime.

Mothers of Murdered Offspring hosted the vigil at Camp Green Park to bring awareness to Charlotte’s rising murder rate.
