CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  Carolina Panthers Defensive End, Greg Hardy, gets $17,000 bond for domestic violence charges after his first court appearance Wednesday morning.

His bond amount for assault on a female is $15,000 and $2,000 for communicating threats.

Hardy entered the courtroom in an orange jumpsuit.  His attorney, Chris Fialko, started the hearing by informing the judge that Hardy has no previous criminal record and that the ‘alleged incident did not happen.’

Fialko went on to say Hardy made the 911 call to police because the victim, Nicole Holder, would not leave his apartment.  During the court hearing, it was said that both Hardy and Holder were intoxicated at the time of the alleged incident.

The judge ordered Hardy to attend 3 AA meetings per week and to stay away from the victim.

Warrants allege Hardy grabbed Holder and threw her to the floor, into a bathtub, slammed her against a futon and strangled her.  The warrants also allege that Hardy threatened to kill Holder.

A domestic violence protective order was filed by Holder.  In the document, she claims to have bruises from head to toe.

Holder says, ‘Hardy picked me up over his head and threw me onto a couch covered in assault rifles and/or shotguns.  I landed on those weapons.  Hardy bragged that all of those assault rifles were loaded.  Landing on those weapons bruised by (SIC) neck and back."

Holder also says Hardy ‘has approximately 25-30 firearms.  AK-47’s, automatic looking weapons, shotguns, rifles and pistols.  Some are permitted and some are not.’
