CORNELIUS, N.C.– One person is dead after a crash involving a tractor trailer early Saturday morning, according to the Huntersville Fire Department. 
Officials say the crash happened on I-77 southbound near exit 28.
North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
