DENVER, N.C.– The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Dollar General on NC Business 16 South.
Deputies were called to the store around 8 p.m. Monday. They say two men with semi-automatic handguns entered the store, assaulted two employees and forced them to open the safe.
Deputies say one of the suspects was wearing a red hoodie and the other a gray hoodie and that their faces were partially covered.
According to deputies, the men fled the scene and employees could not provide a direction of travel. Both employees were treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries.
