Β CORNELIUS, NC — While the US Women’s national team battles for the 2015 Fifa World Cup, three former World Cup champs are working with future stars in Cornelius.
Former Tar Heels, including Mia Hamm, worked with young female soccer players Tuesday night as part of Blue Cross & Blue Shield’s Live Fearless campaign.
“Get outside that comfort zone,” said Hamm, former US national team member. Β “Understand being outside, being fit, eating well, being active is an important part of what we do.”
About a hundred girls participated in the soccer clinic.
