LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A couple was arrested in Lincoln County on Thursday for trafficking methamphetamine.

Earl Brooks, 60, and Megan Campos, 34, were arrested Thursday morning after deputies found them hiding out at a residence on Elizabeth Avenue in Lincolnton. Brooks was arrested without incident and Campos was found hiding under a bed.
Narcotics detectives say the two made regular trips out of state to purchase large quantities of methamphetamine and redistribute the drug in Lincoln County. Officials seized more than 2 ounces of methamphetamine from the subjects, valued between $2,500 and $3,500.
The two face multiple charges, including Trafficking Methamphetamine by Transport, Trafficking Methamphetamine by Possession, and Maintaining a Vehicle for a Controlled Substance.
