CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) β€” Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is dealing with a cold. He told reporters today that he’s been sick for about four days but that he will be good to go for Sunday’s Super Bowl. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman laughed when told the news and said, “his arm doesn’t have a cold.”

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) β€” Two Top-10 teams will meet tonight in South Bend, Indiana, as No. 8 Notre Dame plays host to fourth-ranked Duke in men’s basketball. The visiting Blue Devils enter the game 17-2 while the Fighting Irish are 19-2.

ATLANTA (AP) β€” Atlanta’s Hawks have won their last 16 games and tonight they put the streak on the line at home for a game with Brooklyn. The Eastern Conference-leading Hawks are an impressive 20-3 at home this season.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) β€” The women’s semifinals are tonight, U.S. time, at the Australian Open. In one match top seed Serena Williams is facing fellow American Madison Keys while second seed Maria Sharapova (shah-rah-POH’-vah) is going against No. 10 Ekaterina Makarova in the other. In a men’s semi, No. 6 Andy Murray is meeting No. 7 Tomas Berdych (TOH’-mahs bur-DEEK’). The other men’s semifinal match will be played Thursday night, U.S. time.

UNDATED (AP) β€” The Boston Bruins have reportedly placed veteran forward Simon Gagne (gahn-YAY’) on waivers for the purpose of releasing him. A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press of the action on the condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the move. Gagne is a two-time 40-goal scorer and was the NHL’s rookie of the year in 2000 with Philadelphia.
