CMPD searching for bank robber

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in two bank robberies.

The first robbery happened Jan. 28, at the Fifth Third Bank on Pineville-Matthews Road.  The man handed a bank employee a note demanding money.  The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The second robbery happened Feb. 13, at the PNC Bank on Arboretum Drive.  The man handed a bank employee a note demanding money.  The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a 35-40 year old man between 5’8″ and 5’10”.  Police say he has some skin discoloration near his left eye.
