City Leaders Consider Action On Confederate Monuments

CHARLOTTE, NC —Β Charlotte leaders are exploring their options for all the Confederate monuments across the city. Β We spotted several of them around town Wednesday afternoon. Β 

Mecklenburg County Manager Dena Diorio tweeted that she plans to bring up what to do with the monuments at the next County Commissioners meeting.

We asked city leaders if they’re taking any action. Β They sent us this statement saying: “At this time, the city is only assessing the number and location of monuments.”
